We all know that when you want to reach for the most extreme example of evil, you play the Hitler card.
When you want the most extreme example of coddling evil, you play the Nazi appeaser card.
President Bush chose to use a speech to Israeli lawmakers to accuse Barack Obama of appeasement because of his oft-stated willingness to speak to leaders of unfriendly countries. In this case, he was talking about Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
It seems like criticizing a fellow American elected official, especially one who may soon be president, before a foreign government would be out-of-bounds, even in the rough-and-tumble world of politics.
What do you think? Fair game, or too extreme?
