I watched with great interest last night. Senators John McCain and Barack Obama going head to head in a townhall style debate (said to be one of McCain's strengths). I won't share my thoughts on the debate, but I want to know what you think.

Watching the pundits talk last night about the debate, they said it was more of the same. Did you feel like you got more of the same?  Or did the candidates answer your questions?

This debate was supposed to be a home run for Sen. McCain. He's known for doing well in townhall style debates. But pundits are saying, he didn't live up to that expectation. Who do you think won the debate? National Polls (right now) say Obama came out on top. We've also got a poll on our website. With 700 votes so far, Obama has the lead. You should let us know who you think did a better job. The point is, this was round 2. The third and final debate is next week in New York. I guess when you think about it, that's not a lot of time to get to know your presidential candidates. Any thoughts?

What are you expecting from next week's debate; and are any of you still undecided on who to vote for?

Thanks!

I don't know what to think anymore... I am too "broke" to "pay" attention!

I DO know our country isn't where it is supposed to be, We cower in the darkness when we are supposed to bask in the light! I DO know that I have a lot of unanswered questions...

What happened to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness? What happened to Ensuring Domestic Tranquility and Providing for the Common Welfare of ALL? Why is the common man struggling to feed his family and provide medical care for his wife and children while working his hands to the bone? What happened to us? Where did our Greatness Go?

How can we get it back?

I think Obama won this one but more than that I think this race is finally over based on everything leading up to this debate. McCain seems to have lost whatever he had. He doesn't even attempt to come up with funding concepts aside from sending mone overseas. His response to Obama's point about spotting bin Ladin being a signal to act was odd at best. No one would forgive government for not acting if bin Ladin was known to be in a specific spot. McCain is losing it.

Senator McCain helped one of my 'first time voting' daughters decide who to vote for. She found his constant 'my friend(s)' insulting and somewhat frightening.

I am voting for McCain because he is the lesser of 2 evils. I am a Republican but I don't beleive McCain is. Sarah Palin is a better pick for Pres than the other three canidates for Pres and VP. She should have run for Pres. I think I would have liked Romney and Giuliani alot better than this ticket.

I don't want our gov't going anmore socialist than it has already. We need to get back on the Right track.

Obama won in my opinion, but he still isn't saying what I have been hoping to hear. It does seem to be more of the same. I will not vote for McCain because of his policy on Iraq.

McCain might consider himself the candidate of change but the only thing that he is good at changing is his mind. To all of you who plan on voting for McCain: you are being played. A vote for McCain is avote for Dubya's third term. Obama is the real candidate of change.

I think we need a big hand for the man behind the curtain for putting on such a wonderful show. (que clapping) The only thing I saw was two politicians say what they wanted to do with America and what they thought was right. I say any 1 person who says they definitivley know for sure all the answers for an entire nation, shouldn't be anywhere near the Presidency. What I would pay a lot of money to see is the two of them work together to find solutions to common problems, yeah right.
