I only know this about the Questar issue:

I didn't make the mistake
I didn't benefit from anyone's mistake
I paid full price for everything I got and used
I am not involved

Conclusion:

He who benefited and he who erred must talk and reach an agreement

Because

I don't much care which one pays for it (the one who messed up, or the one who used it) but it better not be me, the one who didn't mess up and who didn't use it.  As you can see I have zero pity for either party. I am too busy trying to pay for what I paid full price for.

A great mind would spank both sides for thinking mistakes and "found gifts" are free but I don't care.  I am not either sides cleanup crew.  Fix it.

Wow!

On further note: When I first read this blog I got the impression that it was written by an inteligent, perhaps semi crazy person.

I was thinking Wow! in part because it sounded like you might be refereing to the obvious, being that if someone did not pay for the mistake or if someone did not pay for the fuel... Well obviously someone is going to pay.

It sounds like you are pointing out the obvous that we are all going to pay in the long run. It sounde like you were implying that everyones rates would soon be adjusted to cover the screw up.

Again I was sort of bedazzeld and befuddled by your statement so I went to your blog for some insight

What I want to say is your writing is very hard to read for lack of punctuation and some seperation of thought.

Otherewise it looks as though you have good things to say. It is however laborious to read.

on further investigation there seems to be quite a bit of puctuation and some seperation of thought.
Perhaps I was being blind to it, maybe you are just speaking over my head or rambling or both. I am honetsly not sure what it is,

Your Thoughts on the Church earlier today were in my oppinion very sharp and easy to follow.
those comments along with this one are what influenced me to go look at your other blogs.

I guess I was simply disapointed not to find a trove of interesting, easy to follow stuff.

I write for me so I call it ramblings. Just a little background on this issue:

Questar is talking about raising prices for all of us to make up for the mistake. My "ramble" stands.

Not to worry if it doesn't flow as I usually write in answer to a known issue and rarely take time to explain it. I am certain it causes some confusion and that is ok. ;)

In any case, I enjoy your input. My way of saying "It isn't you, it's me." lol

One little hint that might help: With few exceptions, there is always humor lurking somewhere behind most of what I write. ;)

What I would like to see happen is that the amount of the undercharging be deducted from every one of Questar's stockholder's next dividend with a little note explaining exactly why that was being done. Then at the next stockholder's meeting the entire board of directors and the CEO would hopefully be thrown out for their incompetence. That's how it's supposed to work. If you goof you should pay for your own mistakes. You shouldn't be able to find some patsy (like the rest of Questar's customers) to pay for it.

I agree with crossover! Questar must reap what they sow!

I agree with Crossover as well. That is one very good solution. I hope that when they have public meetings to discuss making non-involved customers pay, someone points that out.
