Offering condolences to the family of Deborah Jones. May you find peace and comfort in this horrific time.
Max, you have always been a great reporter and anchor! I think you have done an excellent job tonight!! We're very proud of you! Even when that lady introduced you and called you Max Ross at the very beginning!
Keep up the good work!! Get some sleep!
So much to say, don't even know where to start! So, I am going to keep it simple. Illegal immigration is simply that. ILLEGAL. Are we so PC now that we are afraid to say it? I admit, when 911 happened, I tried to be one of those people who felt that it was wrong to condemn a whole race of people for what a few crack pots did. (Remember the interment camps for Japenese Americans in WWII?) How would we like it if the world based their opinion of the US because of Ted Bundy and Manson?
Then my husband said that those "men" lived in Florida for a few years. They were raising families, going to work, having bar-b-q's with neighbors, their kids went to the schools and helped search for lost dogs together. Then, one morning, these "men" jumped on some airplanes, took them over, flew two into the World Trade Center Towers, and the Pentagon, and one was saved by the heroic efforts of the passengers, and instead of crashing into the White House, was diverted into a field in Pennsylvania. No problem.
I don't think putting a wall up is a very economically sound idea. I think we are now in the 21st century and need to use technology. Instead of putting a chewed chunk of gum in the hole, I think some type of electronic sensors are going to do the job better. Heck, they swam the river, they get through the rickety fences already in place, but seismic sensors are harder to avoid. Just ask an earthquake. But, that is another subject.
We need to stop them from just waltzing on in. We need to support the Border Patrol, and all those who are trying to stave off this onslaught. We need to KNOW the people that are coming here, not just guess that they are not going to do us any harm. I think as citixens, we have the right to expect we are safe in our home.
Please do not expect me to feel sorry for the Viva La Mexico people. If it was so great, go back. If it wasn't, follow the rules like everyone else, and come here legally. You have nothing to hide? Why can't you start out on the right foot with us? If you can't, we have the right to say we don't want you here. We don't want to pay for your free food, medical care, housing, and education. I WILL do the crappy jobs at crappy pay, I have a family to support, too. Mine belongs here.
