Hello All!!!

Trying to start a food blog here...

I'm looking for "GREAT" ideas for game time snacks. Weather it is a special "Macho Nacho" recipe...

Or maybe Nin's Specially dipped "Sugar Grapes"...

Or my Special "Cafe Mexical Salad" (Cafe Rio Pork Salad w/ the tomatillo dressing"... I'll post it later.

Come one...come all...

Help me out here. WE ALL NEED TO TALK FOOD.

Please and Thank You!

Fresh Guacomoli Dip:

3 ripe avocados-not too ripe.
2 tomatoes
1/3 cup cilantro
1/4 white onion
2 to 3 serrano peppers-depending on how spicey.
2 tablesspoons lime juice
Salt too taste.
Tortilla chips or warmed corn tortillas.

Roast the serrano peppers on a cast iron skillet-no oil neccessary. Roast until browned. Turn serranos occasionally to roast evenly.

While serranos are being roasted.

In a large bowl put in the:
Avocados-of course remove the skin.
Tomatoes-First chop-up on a cutting board.
1/4 White onion-First chop-up on a cutting board
1/4 Fresh Cilantro-First chop up on a cutting board.
REMEMBER KEEP TURNING OVER THE SERRANOS THAT ARE ROASTING ON THE SKILLET.
Put in the 2 tablespoons of lime juice.

Mash up all the ingredients in the Large Bowl, until it looks like Guacomole Dip.

Turn down the heat and allow the serranos to cool down to avoid burning your fingers. After cool down, remove the skins from the serranos and mash the serranos into a paste, I just use the bottom of a teaspoon. If you like spice leave the seeds in, if not remove the seeds.

Now put the serranos in the large bowl, evenly distributed and mix until it is all mixed in.

Add Salt too taste.

If you put in the Refrigerator for 2 hours, covered with Saran Wrap, it allows marinating and is more delicious, but you can eat immediately.

Warm the Corn Tortillas on the skillet or just use Tortilla chips. Spread the dip on the Tortillas or use as a dip with Tortilla chips.

That sounds soooo yummy! I'm glad you added my frozen grapes (with sugar of course) as part of your food blog! That's it...I'm buying groceries after work today and having a mini-jazz party of my own...with me, myself and I...haha! But seriously, tonight is make or break night for the jazz! I'll have to think of some recipes...

Utah is Home! I've lived in other states... but Utah is Home. Good Food, Fun, Hiking and tons of other things to do. Mountains, Water, Snow... all of the best! I work in the outdoors. So being outside all of the time is better than being in my office anyday. My worst day outside is still better than being attached to the desk in my office. You Gotta Love it Baby!
