(See Nineveh's Report from this morning.....)
Once again... It lurks out there ready to get you.
In Mid-July, my neighborhood (of about 80 of us) attended an "After-hours" pool party at the West Jordan Outdoor Pool 8200 S. 2200 West (which is operated by SL County Parks & Rec).
It was only later the week following we found out that "someone" has problems with their bodily functions (both top and bottom). The pool operators present did not warn us or inform us of the incident. We found out afterwards they had only closed the pool for 90 mins because of the incident and "sprinkled" clorine in the area after solid matter was removed.
The following weekend at another gathering, the neighbors talked. We were ALL suffering "flu-like" symptoms of the worst kind.
So...we started calling everyone who attended that party.... Here is what wer found:
We found out that of the 60 that were actually in the water, 40 got sick. And as of today... there are still 15 still suffering the "Flu-like" sypmtoms.
The incident was reported to the SL Valley Health Dept. They were really ncie people to work with. Very helpful and informative. I wish I could say they same about the SL Parks & Rec People. We were turned a deaf ear. It was only after a few of us contacted a member of the County Council did we get any reponse and reply from Parks & Rec.
So everyone... Heed the warnings now being given by the State Health Department.
And KUDOS to Nineveh for the Story that aired this mornig. Thanks NIN!

Utah is Home! I've lived in other states... but Utah is Home. Good Food, Fun, Hiking and tons of other things to do. Mountains, Water, Snow... all of the best! I work in the outdoors. So being outside all of the time is better than being in my office anyday. My worst day outside is still better than being attached to the desk in my office. You Gotta Love it Baby!
