Did anyone know that animal control is not available overnight? Sunday morning at 4am I tried to walk out to my car and warm it up, all of a sudden I hear a chain being dragged and I look up and I have 2 Pitbulls running towards my front door. So I called SL County PD to as for animal control to please get these dogs that are just running around and tried to come after me. The lady told me Animal Control doesn't open til 7am and I would have to wait until then. I let her know that I had to leave my house and these are 2 BIG dogs one had a huge chain hanging off its neck and what if it bites me. She then stated that "Oh well if he BITES you call us back" first I'm not just going to bet BIT by the dog I'd get malled. I then asked her if a officer can come out and she said no I have to wait til 7am when they open. I just thougt this was so stupid and thought I would share it if anyone else thought the same or let people know for future if it happens to them you can't count on animal control at night

HELLO???  What was this guy thinking! Im sure they WILL be filing charges with the US Att. soon.  How does he think that he can get away with that?  What would happen if I went to a fund raiser for Obama and pleged 10k and couldn't pay it.....BET YA I WOULD HAVE TO PAY EHH!!!

Seems our wonderful federal government is waging a war on sin. Nation wide, law enforcement is cracking down on street level prostitution. Now, mind you, this is to protect the women that those in power claim are being exploited. But, does it work?

Before writing this post, I have done 6 months of research on the subject. And, have documented Utah's finest as they attack the illegal sin trade. And, what I find is more disturbing than the Johns who supposedly victimize the women working the streets, is the government and the way it addresess the issue at hand.

Sadly, no current police tactics to deal with the oldest profession work.  And the governments war on prostitution only helps contribute to other crimes such as human trafficking, and slavery, not to mention drain resources from other parts of law enforcement that needs to be used to police up drug related felonies and other serious crimes. And because a lot of women are afraid of getting arrested for prostitution, a lot of assaults, and rapes go unreported. Not to mention diseases are more apt to be spread because both John and hooker are  afraid to go get a aids/hiv test because they might get arrested.

For some, legal prostitution is a eye sore. For others, the illegal sex trade needs to be legalized,because current law enforcement tactics only contribute to the problem on the streets. Here is a great example right next door in Nevada.....Legalized prostitution takes the crime aspect out of the act. In a controlled enviroment, women are tested for diseases,  security is provided, for the women and Johns, and income from the sex trade is taxed. 

Human trafficking, assaults, rapes and murders would drop if prostitution was to be legalized. As would the war on sin. I am going to leave the debate for you, the reader to decide...because in reality good intentions in government only add misery to those women trapped in a dangerous profession....prostitution.

Putting the pieces of a puzzle together this early in the morning can be challenging, but we as reporters are always trying to get the latest information. Last night we reported about a woman who was found dead inside her home in North Ogden. Police were looking for boyfriend, named a person of interest. This morning we're learning more details. 21 year-old Johnny Maurice Bell has been booked into the Weber County jail. The charges are unknown, and it's still not clear where he was found or the circumstances surrounding his arrest. Right now, North Ogden police are calling the death suspicious, and have been very tight lipped. As of now, they have not ruled it a homicide. Blood was found near her home, where she lived with her boyfriend. The victim's name has not been released, and her cause of death won't be determined until an autopsy is complete.

Mexico is at war.  Officially,  it is being called a war against drug cartels, and the high murder rates and other drug relate crimes in cities such as Tijuana. And  , it never reaches the streets of the U.S., or dose it?

Yes, the Mexican drug war reaches the mean streets of the USA. From here at home in Salt Lake City, Provo, and Ogden, to Seattle, Washington, to Portland Maine.  Our country has become a integral front to their struggle for normality in what has become worse in some cases than the American struggle  to secure Iraq.

And what makes us so important in their struggle to fight their own war, is we supply all of the funding to drug cartels to purchase arms, and bribe police and military personnel, and all of the demand for the drugs they sell across the border.

And yet again we help those cold blooded killers with their business by not securing our borders and policing our own streets, and by our own corruption within the highest  levels  of law enforcement, and all levels of  government at local, state and federal levels.

These are real problems for the greatest democracy on the planet. And, we need to police real problems here at home, and secure our own borders before we clean up someone else s.

yours truly was playing  gta multi-player  and found what you ask....it was full of 10 year olds or younger.

another news channel talked slightly about this and how gta was making these kids aggressive and desensitized and that rock-star games was going to get sued by some group of house wives with nothing better to do.

riddle me this how many time do you see a 10 year old or younger walk into walmart and say excuse me mister i would like to by gta so i can kill hookers after they give me my moneys worth.......no you see the child's mom or dad come in and by it for them.

so i say to you the adults are to blame who buy these kids these kids of games in the first place!!!

try to get you little ones a nice wii system there are plenty of little tykes to play with on their online multi player games!!!!

i am 16 i have a xbox 360 with xbox live and suggest no parent to get this for their kid under age 13.

Here we go again... I am all revved up and ready to race. I cannot even say the words as fast as my brain wants to spew them,,, let alone peck them out on my key board. I am so inspired, this time by motoxcoma and mysterious micheallee. Inclusive of others, ie  dracco, akiame and skooby.

So where has the mysterious person been... Missing in action for a couple months it seems. The mysterious person displays such intense anti social verbatim that one would think he comes from a jailhouse culture... This would perhaps explain his recent M.I.A. status wouldnt it ??? I am not so sure though, because the mysterious person has been soooooooo... [searching for the word....]  well mysterious and secretive. 

The mysterious person proclaims to be PRO underdog... I will speculate that this is because the mysterious person is an underdog...[or at least feels like one]  The mysterious person is soooo dissatisfied with his own life that he must predict doom and gloom for everyone. This way he will at least be an equal. The mysterious person constantly laments about doom and gloom, anarchy, conspiracy therory and coruption in government and law enforcement. The mysterious person rarely, if ever has any solution for anything...Rather he seems to spew his self defeating, dishonest, distorted self fullfulliing prophecy to anyone willing to listen. I am not willing to listen to it and I will argue against it... The ugliest thing about the mysterious persons message is that it falls right in line with the mentality of the disinfranchised society. The mysterious person perpetuates a poisenous ugly lie that allows ones self to sit on their butt and remain full of hate and ignornance.

All the messages I argue about have one thing in common... That is, they never offer any proactive solution,,, Rather they are meant to slander as well as perpetuate hate and ignorance.

 All people on earth for the most part have an equel shot at getting ahead in life. Some people refuse to work for it and or get honest with themslefs to get ahead. It is much more instantly gratifying to blame others for their own shortcomings than to get up off ones butt and earn it for themeslfs... Who better to blame than the ones who have already earned getting ahead.

akiame:  falls right into he above catagory except that I think he is much more honest on a number of levels. akiame is not anti social to a point of buying into the mysterious persons  propaganda.... akiame is much smarter than most of the disinfranchised and does not buy the mysterious persons BS to the point it is deliverd. However I think akiame would like to buy a lot of the B S because it fits right in line with his own need to feel like a victim.

akiame is extremely smart and would be a billionair in his own right if he spent as much time kissing ass in an industrious manner as he spends lamenting about being a victim of the government and other big business.

I should point out that all these people I talk about have very worthy things they bring up. It's only because of the lie that they drive their own worthy arguments off a cliff with their own distorted dishonest agenda... It is always a means of excusing their own inability to except self so they must find outside sources to blame for their own self fullfilling prophecies

Dracco:   dracco likes to rail against the church because of his inability to accept self. dracco is like the guy who complains that he got past by for a promotion becaue the president of the company is a Mormon... dracco would not stoop to this level because he is very smart and knows how weak it would be. Instead he uses other worthy arguments... like gay marraige to further his secret propoganda. [ that being to trash the chruch]  I confronted dracco on numerous occasions about my belief that religion was forced down his throught as a child. Dracco ignored this over and over and finaly addressed my suspicion with denial... I cannot argue it further but I still have my suspicions.

Skooby:  On a contrary note,, I think skooby is pretty dang honest... I quite respect skooby's apraoach because I have never heard him use distorted, dishonest, hateful  garbage to perpetuate his agenda.  skooby is [seemingly from all I have seen and read] very well infromed and factual about every thing he writes. I have never heard distorted hate come from him,, not even when I have on occsion prodded him.

motoxcoma:  motoxcoma is actualy the instigator of this post. She has made some daring comments to me teaming up witht he distorted likes of the mysterious person. motoxcoma called me shallow for disagreeing with the mysterious person. I rarely have the ambition to argue with someone as harmless as motoxcoma. I prefer to save my energy for truly destructive people like dracco and the mysterious person.

I will make an exception becasue the motoxcoma somehow got under my skin... motoxcoma you are teaming up with the propoganda spewd by the mysterious person,,, Why would this suprise me after reading one of your post about the police and broken down motorists on the side the road.

 You go on to descibe all motorists in distress and the police as retarded, rude and inept. You cite your boyfreind / tow truck driver as the reason and source of all your expertice on the matter. You go on to procclaim that you make a point of asking all police officers how many times they failed the little police examination... what ever you call it ??  You profess to say that snide comment to all officers as a means of being  a little boicth to them.

I would venture to dare, my  fair lady that you have never said this to any cop, EVER! Becasue if you did they would find a reason to arrest you and you know it !  You are just trying to be a loud mouth propaganda spewing smart ass towards law enforcement. Like all the above I am sure your comments have some merit in time, but it is glaringly obvious that you are using it  in an effort to piss on someone else to make yourself feel better. I would suggest that you have a little more compassion towards broken down motorists in distress and the police trying to help them.

Like a history search

On one of the New Year's Eve specials, they were asking members of Congress what their goals were for 2009.  I was very surprised with how few of them mentioned the economy in any fashion.  I think they need to work on fixing the economy first.  I think it is clearly the biggest issue facing our country right now, and that seems to be reflected in the vast majority of polls.  But Congress just doesn't seem to get it.

Unfortunately, with the many band-aid bailouts that were passed in 2008, Congress seemed unwilling to even consider the long-term effects of what they were doing.  They didn't provide adequate methods for oversight or regulation of how the bailout money was spent.  And since the money was handed out, there have been a lot of news stories about how some of that money was wasted.  It doesn't seem logical to me that wasting additional taxpayer money will create long-term growth for the economy.

Mitch McConnell, the Republican Minority Leader in the Senate, has been one of the few Congressional representatives who is talking about fixing the economy every chance he gets.  He is making two key points.  The first is that we don't waste any additional tax dollars.  The second point is that any economic stimulus/recovery plan needs to be well thought out.  I strongly agree with both of those points.  We need to make sure that any short-term fix doesn't have major negative long-term consequences.

One of the areas I am most concerned about is the power that President-elect Obama and the large Democratic majority in Congress will have to repay political favors.  Repaying those favors may come at the expense of truly fixing the economy.  For instance, labor unions spent well over $300 million to help elect Obama and strengthen the Democratic majority in Congress.  Now it seems the unions expect to get repaid for their support by having Congress quickly pass the Employee Free Choice Act, also known as the "Card Check" bill.

This bill would take away secret ballot elections in businesses where unions want to organize.  I have no problems with unions when the workers decide on their own to form one.  Especially in business sectors involving dangerous materials or processes, unions can serve a great purpose to protect worker safety.  But it doesn't seem to make any sense to take away the workers' right to decide whether to unionize in a secret ballot election.  Just as people were intimidated and coerced to vote certain ways in political elections in the early days of this country, the same thing would happen to workers who weren't able to keep their votes secret.  It would effectively stifle a lot of the debate because people with dissenting viewpoints would be opening themselves up to retaliation.

Plus, the fear of harassment could lead to "push-button" unions in a lot of businesses that really don't require them - like very small businesses.  Small businesses have always been the driving force of job growth and this bill could stifle them under excessive regulations.  And that would really hurt the long-term prospects for the economy.  I saw that the Friends of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is working to make sure everyone knows about the potential negative effects of this bill.  I encourage the other readers to sign their petition or directly contact their Congressional representative and ask them to protect worker privacy, fix the economy first, and fix the economy in the right way to ensure long-term growth.  Here's a link to the petition and some more information about the bill - http://friendsoftheuschamber.com/email/email4.cfm?id=1

Where is this great big economic downturn everybody is complaining about? I still see houses being built, and plenty of crooked banks still in business. I still see people falling into the credit trap, getting loans they cannot afford.  And I still see the propaganda being spread by government and wall street...buy, buy, sell, sell..blah blah blah.

So, where is this massive credit crisis? Why aren't more banks failing? And why aren't the rich being strung out to high heaven by angry mobs wanting to dismember them for controlling 90% of our nations wealth?

Come on people..I want to see rich families like the ones here in Utah on the street scrounging around dumpsters by restaurants looking for food to feed their family. Selling their self for favors to pay for a roof over their heads and clothing on their kids backs.  And standing on the street corner begging for money, just like that homeless  veteran  we see standing on the street corner every day.

I mean come on people! Lets give the rich and powerful their just dues..a life time of poverty and survival just like us common folk endure every day....because now is the time for
change.

Well, its 2009. And, most of us have weathered the awful hangover from a night of decadence the world sees once a year.  And, for most of us, the new year brings a sense of change.

Some want to lose weight. Some want to quit cigarette smoking. While others, well no one knows what they want. So, if you are one of the ones who are undecided, no worries...its a new year, and you can go ad hock and cook up your new years resolutions along the way to next year.

As for myself, I do have some resolutions I want to share with you.

The first, is I promise myself to spread the word of compassion by helping those in need.
To heck with Mr. Highway patrolman..I am going to stop and help someone when they need assistance. So put your ticket book up..I'll never pay the fine from your stupidity.

The second, is I am going to further the word that its time for a real change. For those of you who support a society that is oppressed and rules the world with power rankings for the most imprisoned population on the planet, look out.

I will continue my fight against public education and the nonsense of educating our children to the ways of a political correct society in which your guaranteed rights to free speech, rights to a fair trial, and rights as a human being are being taken from them on a daily basis.

I will continue my fight against law enforcement and the criminal justice system..not because I am a fan of criminals, but because of the criminals behind the robe, behind the badge, and behind the office of president, governor, senators, and congressmen.

So for me, 2009 is going to be a fun year. Because, its time for a revolution, baby!

 

Well, its 2009. And 2008 is a bad memory that passed us by. From a new animal slaughter house in West Valley city, to corrupt heroes that molest little girls, 2008 was a banner year for the political elite.

But 2008 was a bad yeay for us common folk too. From job losses from a failing economy to murders 2008 was a banner year for us too.

What does 2009 bring? Well, we get a new president, we get a new state government scandel, and we get plenty of law makers who passed laws last year that bring more hardship to the chronic poor.

Yes, 2009 is shaping up to be a banner year already. And its going to be a long year indeed.

I'm just curious. What's your New Year's resolution for 2009? It's always fun to see what everybody's resolutions are, because sometimes it makes you realize what you may have left out of your list of resolutions.

Here are a few of mine!

1. Be more patient

2. Don't sweat the small stuff (don't stress), or dwell on the past

3. Eat healthier, work out more, and maybe take up a new hobby like painting

4. Spend more time with my family

5. Do a documentary about the Assyrians

6. Volunteer in the community more

7. Learn how to COOK

HI All - Got back from Christmas with my inlaws. It was two long days of living in airports but we made our connections by a hair! Travel sure isn't what it used to be - if I hadn't made Sunday's connection from Florida to Atlanta .. I would have missed two days of work because the following flights to salt lake city were oversold! go figure .. but the universe worked it's energy and we made it. Monday however, I woke up sick. You can make the plane connection but can't escape the germs! If you watched Monday - you probably could tell I was having a tough time with my voice. Tuesday I didn't have a voice and so this New Year .. for the first time in over thirty years I would have to say - I missed ringing it in. I was sound asleep while the ball dropped --- the first nighters rejoiced .. and the champagne was drunk! I'm hoping you had a great new year's eve!

You have all had occsion to be the one or know of those with a legitimate need for "calling in sick" to work... No big deal ! But have you ever heard of "calling in stupid" That is my own invented term that I think is so appropriate.

You have all probably had occosion to work with folks like the one whose Grandma has been in the hospital and died 16 times. We have all heard the lame excuses before and most of us are astute enough to know when we are being fed a bucket of garbage on a silver platter and when we are getting genuine facts.  The following is my favorite occurance of all times that any one person has ever "CALLED IN STUPID" about.  This is absolutely for real because I could not make this stuff up, The call goes like this:

BOSS :  [picking up phone]  Good morining,  This is 'Jack's, Do It Right & Do It Tight", and This is Jack, what can I do for you? 

EMPLOYEE :  Hello Jack, this is Bubba.  Listen man bad news, I dont think I can make it into work today... The road man, it is blocked off.

BOSS / JACK:  [ in wonderment ] Is That right ! What road is this ?

BUBBA : The road just South of the old school, right after you get past the new church.

JACK : [ Incredulous] That road was blocked last night, how did you get home ?

BUBBA : [Very long paaaauuuussse]]]  Uhmmm!  I drove around it.

JACK : [ Quite pleased with the simplicityof the matter and  even more incredulous] How about  driving around it again ?

BUBBA :  [ Hesitant yet cooperative]  Uhhhhhh,,,, ok.

Bubba arrives at work almost on time and seemingly in good spirits and begins his duties. Almost immediately Jack notices that Bubba is less than sluggish, almost in a trance in the way that he keeps slipping into idle mode.  Jack finaly becomes frusterated and lights a fire under Bubbas ass. Bubba becomes offended storms off the floor with an air of  "Take This Job & Shove It !  That was his last day. That story is absolutely for real and genuine. Only the names have been changed to add a littel spice and color to the stupidity.

Occurance #2 goes as follows,, in the same week as a matter of fact,,, In fact this may have been Bubba's replacement,,, or maybe his predecessor... on further reflection it is both his replacement and predecessor as I continue to be astounded by the creative ineptness of a lying mind.

Bubba  # 2, happens to be a cell phone text message addict. Bubba is always preoccupied whith his phone and displays a lot of apparent obsesion about a girlfreinds acitivties.  Bubba also has an apparent dependncy on perscription medications. Bubba needs a lot of time off work to consult with many doctors and to get notes from the doctors explaining his inability to pass a drug screen.

BUBBA :  [Upon returning from his third unexpained absence from the floor in less than 15 minutes]........Silence

JACK : [ gritting teeth ]  Where have you been?

BUBBA : [ nonchalant ] I had to go to the bathroom.

JACK :  [ gritting teeth]  Where did you go a few minutes before that ? 

BUBBA : [ annoyed ] I had to go blow my nose.

JACK :  [ incredulous] Where did you go a few minutes befor that ?

BUBBA :  [ annoyed & hesitent]  I had to go to the bathroom.

JACK :   [ no longer gritting teeth, rather incredulous with jaw dropping]  I thought you said you just went to the bathroom upon retuning 30 seconds ago.

BUBBA : [ clearly peturbed]  No I just got back from blowing my nose.

JACK : [ feeling satisfied and reslolved]  you procaimed to have already blown your nose before... you are cleary confused about where you have been and I know you are obsessing about your phone again... I already talked to you  about that, didnt I !

BUBBA : [ iiIRRAATTE!!!!]   Phuucc  you, your an asskhole. I dont have to put up with this schitt. I am leaving, I have better things to do than listen to pricks like you...

JACK : [ feeling resolved ]... Fine

BUBBA : [ Upon returning to work the next morning... 20 MINUTES LATE, walking on the floor] " I NEED TO SPEAK TO YOU IN PRIVATE !

JACK : [ INCREDULOUS !  and silently walking outside for Bubbas satisfaction] WWhhhaatt ???

BUBBA : [ posturing assertively and with ritcheous indignation] I dont appreciate the way you talked to me yesterday... Here are my doctors notes explaining my need to be on 13 different mind altering drugs.

JACK : [ resoved and satisfied] Its a moot point and I wont need your doctors notes becasue you are DONE!

BUBBA : [ incredulous with jaw dropping] Whhhaaattt ???

JACK : [ satisfied and repeating while returning through the slamming locked door] Its a moot point you are done. SEE YA!

BUBBA : [left standing alone, apparenty speechless and stund.] nobody  left to talk to   

These are absolute genuine occurances between myself and an endless stream of young kids growing up in 21 century American society. It is tragicly terminal thinking that is being cultivated amoungst our youth to a deeper degree with every generation.

GO FIGURE!  Why  America has become a credit card broke, indebted lying stinking continuous stream of con artistry starting from the top of wall street all the way down to the little guy.  This is why I hate deciet on any level what so ever.

Deceit always leads to the same place... Teminal finality and or tragic death on some level, always slow and agonizing in the way that those affected are the ones calling in to life or work as stupid/sick. They never have a clue, often because nobody has the guts to tell them the truth and often because nobody amongst them knows the truth themselfs.

We opened our store in October 2008. Well on October 2, 2008. West Valley City gave us a ticket indicating that we have banners at the business but the building of commerce said we can put up banners for at least 30 days to get started. We had 3 banners up at that time. One banner always was a name for the business because it cost 500-2500 for business name sign. In November they gave us a ticket for banners again. For 2 banners one with the price one just with the name sign. Then Just last week we got a ticket that indicate on the ticket (WINTER REST). On Dec. 30 we got that ticket. Then we just got another ticket in the mail for Animals. We never had animals. My landlord, customers, anyone can indicate that we never had animals at the business. I think West Valley City is broke & they don't have anything else to do but go after the little people. I opened up this business buy buying everything used. All the furniture in this business is used. The day we opened we on had less than 150.00 in our pocket. We took a risk and all we are getting is fustration from the city. I am no rich. But the city sure thinks I am. Please let me know what I should do. We are living on noodle cup. The economy is bad which doesn't help the business at all. The least thing I need is the city to come with all these false things to make money. Even though the lowest ticket is 25.00 - 125.00. Well to let everyone know some days we make 0.00 & I put that on my kids life. Some day we don't make anything even though we open from 10 am - 7 pm. Please someone respond & help us!!! Good Luck in the New Year! 

I want to know what happened to our freedom and our rights? In my opinion, this smoke free crap is gone way beyond laws is now a control thing. I wouldn't blame it all on the gov. as someone said earlier tonite,  but I do think we all need to remember what this country was meant to stand for. Remember?  "Freedom" and "Our rights" you know the "Declaration of Independence"?                            I understand that 100 years ago we didn't know all the dangers of smoking, and now we do, so I can see the laws pertaining to,  jobs, Dr's and other offices, stores, airplanes, & other places like they show on those commercials where people used to be able to smoke. But this has gone way beyond, second hand smoke and health issues we didn't know about even 40 years ago.  In my opinion we are turning into the countries we claim to be so different from or better than. I think someone decided they don't smoke, like the smell of smoke, so no one else should either so they started with the health issues like lung cancer in smokers, and that didn't work to stop everyone, so they come up with the "second hand smoke" fear (control) factor, and that worked.  So they wanted more, & once they got the law passed to take smoking out of restraunts, when they had (No smoking sections)! They knew the gov. would let them control anywhere, they tell them we shouldn't. And they did.  If it was really just about second hand smoke health issues, for those people who don't smoke, and not just a power trip, for someone or group of someone's, they wouln't keep adding to their list of places it should be illegal. Places that are occupied over 50%, by smokers, places where people have the choice of whether to go there or not.  Like restraunts, casinos, and now bars.  And if all that don't show some kind of proof, what about places that don't affect anyone health wise, like Public Parks for one.  Oh, maybe mental health, for the control freaks who don't like to see anyone smoking.  I mean come on, outside? Are we really that blind? Just because people smoke doesn't mean they don't deserve a way or places that they can go after work or on their day off or just to relax like anyone else. Am I wrong? Not that anyone would ever admit that I might have a point. In fact if it weren't for TMZ, I would probably get in trouble for saying what I think here.
