Climate changes. Its happening, right here, in Utah. What makes this such a dire situation, is the loss of snow pack, vital to water supplies throughout the west, not to mention, threatening whole species in our mountains.

Across our country, we are already seeing just the first in a series of events, that may be unstoppable. From the displacement of ocean currents that drive global weather patterns, to massive and quite often deadly tornadoes, to massive super hurricanes. These events are not just driven by nature, but by man.

From experience, ( I am a weather spotter for noaa in Tooele) I have seen right here in Utah, changes that are making a big difference in how we live. And during the last few years, from my observations, weather patterns have changed. Snow pack depth has changed. Water is becoming more scarce. And, unless more is done, a lot more scarce.

There is a lot, that countries through out the world, can do to slow these changes of climate patterns. From reducing carbon dioxide from factories, power plants and auto mobiles, to education of the public in general.

As it is already being spread through out the media, climate change is real. Countries economies, and peoples lives are being threatened all over the globe. And right here in Utah, unless growth is more closely monitored, we could become the next Somolia, with famine, and civil unrest caused by lack of what sustains life....water.

Thats for the year. Snow pack, is what is sitting up on the mountain, right now. And at Alta, it is around 140". But that only supplies part of our water. The rest is up in the Uintas, and that is average.

I'm from the good ole' TC myself. My grandfather measures snow pack as part of his job for the town of Stockton. He gave me this web address (I’ll provide it below) that shows the snow pack of many areas.

You might be looking at a different area, however the Rocky Basin-Settlement area in Tooele County doesn’t appear as it’s being affected. Apparently it’s average for the date of May 7th historically is 23.1 inches at 8,900 ft. Right now it’s at 19.1. in. The lowest it’s been since 1979 is 0 which was recorded in 92. The highest since then was 57.in. which was measured in 84.

I’ve tried to find a pattern by just looking at the numbers, and I can’t seem to find one. It doesn’t look as if though global warming is affecting Utah’s snow pack one bit. But, I don't much about it. These numbers would appear to speak for themselves.

I am your biggest enemy of public schools, corrupt politicians, and inept leadership. I do not march with the band, because I march to my own beat. You will either agree or disagree. Either way, I do not care what you think, because I am a free man. I support our troops 100%, fighting and dying in a war we ordered them to fight in. I despise corrupt leaders like Rocky Anderson, and others who abuse their power to persue their own agenda. I am former military. I am proud to have served in the greatest army the world has ever seen, defending the greatest country on the face of the earth, but I am not happy with our current group of leaders, and I demand change. I, am a "American", not what we have now in power..an "AMerikan". What is an "AMerikan", you ask? Its some one who follows the status quo, never expanding their minds, and pushing the norm. Its somone who feels safe with corruption and inept government all around them. Its some one who feels so powerless, that they think they cannot effect change. What is an "American"? An American is someone who will uphold the Constitution Of The United States Of America, against all enemies, forigen and domestic. Its some one who exercises their freedoms, and rights, withoput fear or repression. Thats an "American"!
