Lets chat about the mission of the news media...and how bad it is gotten over the years. And lets chat about how apathy has gotten us to where we are today.

Fox13, listen up...this pertains to you....since when, is your new mission in life become the medium for change and manipulation of the public? I mean, sure, in some cases you have succeeded in educating the public to the dangers of lets say, some new diet pill that uses kyrptonite and essence of super man as its base stuff that is in it, or you have educated us to the dangers of private parties with people dancing with sticks of fire in their under ware, lighting their leg hairs on fire, but you have failed to drive home the message of educating the public on their constitutional rights. Wow. Just mind blowing. And what is more disturbing, instead of helping to police up government here, and help make it a model of democracy, you have become the mouthpiece of politicians who want to save us from our selves.

Constitutional rights, is not something to be taken lightly. Nor is it something to be just used when ever the news media wants to do a "undercover investigation" to expose some poor soul who just wants to host private parties to entertain his guests, and bring a little sunshine to an otherwise dull, lifeless state. It has become so sad, when we can only report good news about some nobody, on a singing parrot show, that promotes plagerism, versus stories about senate bill 10098 censoring avenues of free speech.(FYI...there is no such bill, YET)

So, please...stop doing silly stories about the dangers of partying and having fun at a local warehouse, and start doing stories about Police Chief Burbank, or senator Bob Bennet, and governor Huntsman...you might find, that you can effect a change in government for the better..

Lighten up on the media man! I wanna know about david archuletta (Yeh whatever). Of course this station is going to be a mouthpeice for politicians who want to save us from ourselves, and lets not forget those same politicians are also on a mission to liberate our paycheks from us in the form of taxes. This is FOX. One of the purpouses of blogging is for people like you and I to help get these points out as well, the points about Gov huntsman, cheif Burbank you know the stuff that matters. Most mornings I can't stand to watch the news on any station because there is no news. It is the job of the people to educate themselves on these topics. The media is just reporting what people want to hear about the popular things like American Idol, or whatever britney Spears has done this weeek. We need to become more educated as a society.

Think about this... One person is intelligent..... but people in masses are stupid and easy to manipulate... Media, since the beginning or almost the beginning has been a mouthpiece for overly ambitious politicians and buisinessmen to manipulate and control the facts. This is and will always be.. it is our responsibility to recognize the facts and the story... to interperate what slant is put on the stories and to predict what effect they are trying to impose upon the mass public.. It is also our job to speak out when our public media performs its marienett dance for the controlers of the information.. dont condemn the nature of the beast they are looking for ratings and sensational stories that take people from thier lives and give them hope vicarriously through others who have "made it" or are on thier way. Use positive and constructive ways to help correct the problem.. when you just jump and say "EVIL people stop that" people automaticly dont want to listen becuase you learn that as a child no one likes to be corrected in a negative.. they would take you more seriously if you gave them constructive alternatives like why do we wast time on the whole American Idol crap, when we could do a three part series on Genetic manipulation and the risks involved or how about a story on Global warming and how if you look at the patterns of weather on a more global long term like say the computer models based on weather patterns form 200,000 years ago and see the cycle of patterns that say its not global warming but a continuation of that same pattern with the effects of human

exhaust adding to an already continuing pattern.... you know what I mean Stop comming donw on them and offer possible solutions. then maybe they could stop being an mouthpiece for money and politics.. hey for that matter start your own news channel or news letter and educate the masses of the things that media leaves out for the ratings effect..... make a difference if it matters that much... I think we already have a start with this blogging site provided by that Mean inconsiderate nasty Fox NEWs channel.. how manipulative of them to allow us to come together as a community and chat about all the stuff they talk about and to bring up new things they didnt even know about.. I think this site is a step in the right direction and should be recognized for that and appreciated too.. so is Fox all that bad or just misguided at times...

Pissedoff, I would agree with you, but on one point...its not the job of the people to be dumb and stupid. But, when people are being made to be dumb and stupid through media hype, that gets away from what REALLY matters, then its people like you who should wake up and pay attention.

Every day, you as a person WILLINGLY gives away more and more of your rights, promised to us under the constitution. Instead, you let people in black robes dictate to you what you should say and do. But, what are you to blame...you are being manipulated through the media to behave the way they want.

I am your biggest enemy of public schools, corrupt politicians, and inept leadership. I do not march with the band, because I march to my own beat. You will either agree or disagree. Either way, I do not care what you think, because I am a free man. I support our troops 100%, fighting and dying in a war we ordered them to fight in. I despise corrupt leaders like Rocky Anderson, and others who abuse their power to persue their own agenda. I am former military. I am proud to have served in the greatest army the world has ever seen, defending the greatest country on the face of the earth, but I am not happy with our current group of leaders, and I demand change. I, am a "American", not what we have now in power..an "AMerikan". What is an "AMerikan", you ask? Its some one who follows the status quo, never expanding their minds, and pushing the norm. Its somone who feels safe with corruption and inept government all around them. Its some one who feels so powerless, that they think they cannot effect change. What is an "American"? An American is someone who will uphold the Constitution Of The United States Of America, against all enemies, forigen and domestic. Its some one who exercises their freedoms, and rights, withoput fear or repression. Thats an "American"!
