Just got through having a long discussion with my boy about the virtues of living like Christ did. And, during our long discussion, we had a chat about the news story about the bank robber up in Ogden, who fought off police, and said he was Satan. A very interesting story, and what is to follow, a very scary one indeed.

Possession. The story of the story behind the exorcist, brought this very real, and very dangerous phenomenon into mainstream religious circles, and into a scientifically verified research community. But, here is the very disturbing question? What if he was really possessed?

Now, considering the very high probability that the man is very mentally disturbed, suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, why would we discount the possibility that this man is probably possessed by Satan, or any one of his demonic minions?

Interesting, what behavior does indicate that one would be possessed by Satan? Would a strong, just, wise and compassionate person slowly become irrational, self destructive, crazed and hostile? Thats strange because thats what seems to have happend with America. Has America become possessed by Satan? I doubt any 'compelling powers of christ' will do anything because it seems he's been possessed for even longer. Perhaps there is an angel somewhere that can help us....

the guy at the bank is obviously crazy, why in the world whold satan decide "hey I think I'll posses some random guy and then rob a bank...

it seems very unlikely, plus just think about it what are you most afraid of, its thoughts like "what if this guy really is satan" that really scare people, therefore, he was thinking on the same concept, except most can think so the police weren't afraid...

Here is the problem. Saying evil does not exist is just the same as adding gasoline to a fire.

Demonic possession is a very real event. It can effect anyone, and anywhere.

There is such a thing as satanic obsession, where a person is on the verge of being possessed. And there is such a thing as perfectly possession. That's where a person completely surrenders to the evil inside so to speak.

Then there the length of the possession. It can happen for only a short time, or for years. And, the person exercising runs the risk of becoming possessed himself, or physically injured.

I started this topic as a serious discussion about a very real, and terrifying event.

Most cases of possession happen because of a lack of faith in a person.

mysterious person... you sound quite knowledgable on the dynamics of being possessed by evil... what ever the dynamics are I dont have a clude myslef... you sound quite like an authority on the subject.

Your comments and posts go from hatefull antisocial insanity to compassionate sounding diatribes about numerous subjects worthy of concern.

you are indeed mysterious. I think you are also secretive. your continued bold oppinions about a number of things coupled with your refusal to talk about why you have such spiteful oppinions is troubling... to say the LEAST!

It's just some crazy man. I've heard of incidents where people commit crimes and claim to be Jesus. Why in the world would Jesus drive a car into a gas station? It seems more plausible when it's Satan. I don't think Satan would posess them. Satan tries to tempt people to do bad things. Maybe the crazy man was just trying to say that he was inspired by Satan. There have been incidents where people were supposedly posessed by the devil. I don't see what reason he would have for posessing people other than wanting a body.

In a brave new world, we need to question all motives, good or bad. Not because questioning motives is a fad, but because as the old saying goes, the highway to Mephistopheles lair is always paved with good intentions. We need to fight evil in all of its forms. From the drug dealer down the street, to those in power, and to those who serve in our churches. We need to start being aware of what is happening in our own back yard, because, now is the time. I am against public education. Not because education is a bad thing, but because we do not educate our kids, we indoctrinate them. I am against law enforcement, and the penal system. Not because I am a fan of criminals, but because of the criminals behind the badge, behind the judges robe, and behind the offices we elect them to. I am for the underdog, because it is he who is usually the victor. I always help those in need, and also help those who are not. I am for those who want to help make humanity better. Not worse. I am for those who sacrifice a whole life to protect us from those who wish to destroy us. You will either agree or disagree. My posts are my opinions only. It is up to you, the reader to think about the issues being written about, form your own opinion, and decide what you want to believe. Welcome to a brave new world.
