Riddle Me This

50,000 people are feared dead in China following a magnitude 7.9 earthquake in its western Sichaun province, many of them children.   The death toll in Burma from Cyclone Nargis could rise to 100,000.

At least 100 people are dead in Nigeria after a deadly explosion in a crowded suburban area.

And yet, Fox 13 News at 9 decides that they are going to make an appliance advertised on television by Mr. T the focus of their newscast, along with a man who unloaded five fifty-calibre rounds into a rattle snake and a "mysterious trunk" found Downtown.

Priorities, people.

But, then again, the victims of this latest spat of disasters aren't white.  Why should we care?

actually, most people do care, and fox has had some good coverage about it all. but there are times when you need to take a break from all the bad news in the world and see something else. otherwise you just might lose your mind..........

I agree. The topics were well covered. I should think that, in days of terrorism, a mysterious trunk would be of concern ... especially given that the FBI offices needed to be evacuated today due to a mysterious white powder. Are you willing to take the chance that the trunk wasn't a bomb? Or that the white powder might not be anthrax.

IM sorry I think I just Hallucinated... did you just make lack of media coverage on storms on another continent a "WHITE THING"?.... and you mentioned Mr. T took priority????? last time I checked he was anything but White..... Are you mad at FOX or are you mad that nothing in the news was racist for you to complain about? Granted the suffering of 100,000's of people is big news but how you played the race card was a bit off...

What's there to say? I'm a Westminster College freshman, and a transplanted California Democrat. I'm pretty opinionated, and not afraid to let those opinions be heard. Oh, and one of my biggest pet peeves is bad grammar. Which is why I'm here in the first place, since MyFoxUtah.com is rife with dropped apostrophes, misused (or overused commas), and incorrect spelling. Be forewarned. There's nothing worse than a bored English major.
