well, from my last post, i had people commenting (you can read them below) (maybe) saying that i am just a punk kid, trying to get away from the system.. blah blah blah.. and maybe i am.. but i have a job.. i do my schoolwork, pull decent grades.. and i smoke weed. probably too much.. i will confide in you all *ya right..* that i can go thru a half ounce in maybe 2 days. but i still live my life.. albeit with red eyes most the time..haha so.. if i am just some punk pothead kid.. why do i have a 3.5 gpa? why do i hold a steady job? why do i have a home to live in..?  maybe before people start judging me based on my bud consumption, they should find out who i am.. what i do, how i live first.

anyone with me?

No!

It's the difference between mediocrity and fulfilling your potential. You can try to justify yourself all you want. Your excuses do nothing but confirm that you are willing to cheat yourself.

In this case, potential is a 'four letter word' that means wasting your inherent gifts.

To address your questions ...
1. Why settle for a 3.5 gpa when you could easily be a 4.0?
2. We'd need to know what type of job. Some jobs are easier to hold than others. Are you challenging yourself or taking the easiest path?
3.Many potheads have enablers in their life. It isn't something to be proud of because it means they are willing to support you in not being the best you can be. Nice guys!

The question posed by a lot of people in your last post was "Why were you at school High"? Do you go to work High? Are you high when you drive to work? If you awnsered yes to the 2 previous questions then you are a blight on society, not because you smoke pot, but because you abuse it.

Pot, other than it's legality is no different than alcohol. In fact it is less harmful physically. Like anything, when taken in moderation, shouldn't affect anything in your life. Einstein consumed alcohol and he was a genious.

The bottom line is that speeding is illegal and everyone I know including everyone here is guilty of breaking that law. It's just as bad as breaking the pot law. So don't let the self-righteous get you down. Just remember, moderation is the key. Pot demonizers will always make a mountain out of a mole hill. It's just another atrocity religion has caused in the world.

Einstein was beyond genius without 'needing' or justifying ocassional alcohol.

This kid can toke it up all he wants ... at home! He has no right to endanger others by going out stoned .... by his own admission.

Agreed. He should not be driving or operating machinery while stoned. However, "going out" otherwise should be ok. The same rules that apply to alcohol or prescription drugs, apply to marijuana. ;-)

I would also like to add that I never said Einstein needed it. I was simply making the point that He was a genius and it didn't hurt him to consume alcohol. Moderation is the key.

Dracco,

1. He admits to living in a fog. Personal use is definitely his choice until he endangers others from being impaired.

2. No problems with the Einstein analogy. Sorry if I implied the 'needing' comment came from you. That Pothead admits to smoking it too much and goes around looking at the world through red colored eyes indicates a lack of how to indulge in moderation.

3. He asked for input, I gave mine. He can do with it what he chooses.

4. OMG!!!!! Are we almost getting along?

;)

Marijuana, used in moderation can be beneficial to some people, as for people driving under the influence, it shouldn't happen but I see people driving under the influence of a cell phone every day, many of them drive Erratically, Not paying attention to things around them as they concentrate on the conversation they are involved in at the time, while driving I feel there should be nothing more important as the deadly weapon you are in control of, How many drivers are actually under the influence of something? have you ever wondered about that as you drive at speeds that can easily kill you? I don't condone driving under the influence of anything, but as for Marijuana, I am Bi-Polar and when offered any of the so called prescription remedies I read the side effects portion of the information pamphlet given with all prescriptions and I shudder to think of the ill effects I may face just to keep myself under control, yet I can self medicate and I bypass those organ killing side effects, now I know some of you won't agree with me, but many years of thought have went into my decision, and it's not hurting anyone but possibly me. As for the production level of a person under the influence of Marijuana, think about the production level of a person deeply depressed, It's definitely a better level when one is leveled out with the aide of Marijuana.. to sum it up, there are worse things one can do in life, so don't be too quick to judge someone just because they partake of an occasional joint..
