So Utah just changed it's liquor laws. I believe they now allowed about .25 ounces more in a mixed drink. However, they have changed te law of the side-car.  For those who don't know, a sidecar is a shot of the liguor thats in your drink, along with your drink, only on the side(in addition to the shot in your drink). Recently Utah changed it's laws, and you can still get a sidecar, but it CAN'T be the same thing that you put in your drink. Bye Bye doubles. I love the fact the people we elect spent days, if not weeks on things like .25 ounce. I help run a small business that pre-stocks groceries and wine/beer and such to tourists before they arrive in town. I love that our representatives take weeks to decide on .25 ounces, which is nothing, but seriously, when is Utah going to either allow people to buy wine in a grocery store?.. like 48 other states, or when are they going to let people into liquor stores on sunday. There have been countless people I have met in my work that really dislike the liquor/wine laws, most from other countries or the east coast. If we want to keep our tourist industry strong, we should at least allow wine to be sold n grovery stores(like very other state) or allow liquor stores open on sunday. If you've read the USA today or NY times articles about vacation in utah, the first thing they talk about are the "wierd Liquor laws"

since our economy is largely based on tourism, shouldn't we relax these laws and help tourism?
