I have a T.V. that has more than one channel. "At any rate", It happened to find American Idol Rewind a couple of Sunday mornings ago like it had done on previous Sunday mornings, but I was was baffled because it was on another station! Was does this mean? I hope it doesn't mean that the regular American Idol is going to show up there too! Oh well, that's still a few months away, but Fox13 needs American Idol- we need American Idol on Fox13! -Please
I was getting ready to go without my weekly portion of wholesome entertainment when I heard (Dan and Kerri) that the "STARS" will be announced Monday morning August 25th and will be performing beginning Monday September 22nd. (Red and Green- Christmas colors!!)
At any rate, I won't have to go on a dance "diet" for too long. Thank Goodness Dancing is a year round activity!
Four of four (kind of)

Last week I hinted about Courtney coming up with a "surprise" and she did! I had been thinking Chelsie was going to be in the top four, but then I was watching her "Hip-Hop" routine and I "just knew" that her time was up on the show. Comfort's "Professional performance" of a couple of weeks ago (in my opinion) was just far better than Chelsie's and I could literslly feel the difference it was that apparent! Even Bob Evans on the "Fox13 News At Nine" asked "...was Chelsie's Hip-Hop performance good enough?..." But I have another question that I'm not can be answered and that is "Did the fact that Chelsie's Hip-Hop performance was the last one of the show have anything thing to do with people using that to base their calls on?" As Nigel said earlier about her first routine "no one on the show this season can touch you on that routine". I've heard that people remember better that which is freshest on their minds. Therefore her "red-hot on fire" first routine was "put out" by the less than firey second routine! just a possibility.
I had been eagerly anticipating the much adviretized "Two-hour" episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" on Wednesday July 30th at 7:00 p.m. only to find out that it was a repeat of the Thursday July 24th results show. To make matters worse, another network aired a repeat of a show that it had aired the night before. Frustrated, I "Swapped" channels from the two repeats to watch a third show that I had never seen before about two families that exchange their mothers for a while. It was actually a nice change of scenery because a father and daughter discovered that they really didn't know each other and ended up agreeing to be more involved in each others lives (sniff, sniff).
Finally it reached 8:00 p.m. and a NEW "So You Think You Can Dance" episode came on (which is a seperate blog) and I was able to watch the "Top Six" dance away.
I was watching the Judges critique a routine last Wednesday and Mary Murphy said something about "Professionals" and "Dancing With The Stars". I can't remember any other time when a "competing" show has been specifically mentioned by its title.
Thanks to my DTV Converter box I was able to see the Finale of another Dance Competition last Sunday even though it was probably taped earlier in the year. The Program entitled "AMERICA'S BALLROOM CHALLENGE" was just spectacular. If I could make a comparison to a meal "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Dancing With The Stars" are only appetizers compared to "America's Ballroom Challenge". Not only was the dancing much better but the costumes were very detailed and a lot of work had gone into them.
"So You Think You Can Dance" is still my favorite Fox13 show, next to "American Idol"!
I was a bit sad to hear that the finale of "So You Think You Can Dance" is coming soon, but I have watched it from the the start of the season back in May.
As they were doing the auditions Chelsea Hightower's routine was one that I thought was one of the best and that she would be easily among the finalists, and She didn't disappoint!!
From the top eight I only missed one to the top six. I thought Wil would make it over Mark but I was three for three on Chelsea, Courtney, and Katee!!
I'm not going to make any more guesses because even though Chelsea and Katee are both top dancers, Courtney seems to have improved a lot in the past few weeks so She could be a surprise next week!
This is too short of a show and I wish it lasted for more months
It seems like foverever since Sabra Johnson won the title of "America's Favorite Dancer" last year, but tomorrow is just a day away now. I can't wait to see what The Judges thought of Salt Lake City while They were here to audition people for the show.
I don't know how to phrase this but So You Think You Can Dance made me curious about another dance Competition on another Network whos' Finale was last night. As a result, I got to witness Marie Osmond in a doll costume, and Adam Corolla dress up like "Zorro". Then I saw a professional skater win the Title with near perfect scores nearly all season long, which kind of took the fun out of watching it!
The difference between "That Show" and "So You Think You Can Dance" is that everyone that is on "So You Think You Can Dance" has genuine aspirations to do their best at dancing. They aren't to "be funny" or "promote a show or product", they are just themselves! So even though I found the other show enjoyable, To borrow Simon Cowell's words "So You Think You Can Dance" is a "knock-out" compared to "The Other Show"!!
